JORDAN SCHMIDT
Head Trainer
Jordan began riding at 6 years old at Briar Ridge Stables in Monroe, GA. She was a regular in the Saturday Morning Lesson Program until she got her first pony at 11 years old. Comet was a beautiful Arabian gelding who took Jordan to her first Hunter/Jumper shows. At 13, Jordan got her first horse Jeremy. Together, they competed locally in hunters, jumpers, and equitation up to 3', qualifying for JD Pounds Medal Finals in 2006 & 2007. After Graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Health Management in 2011, she went to Kentucky for an internship in the thoroughbred industry, attended a year of Law School back at UGA, and then set out on her professional career. She was fortunate to be an at-home rider for Kat Mulkey of Four Seasons Farm in Madison, GA, and has formed lasting relationships with many other top trainers in our area including Kathleen Stamps of Wildflower Farm and Cynthia Thaxton of High Point Farm where Jordan takes weekly dressage lessons and is pursuing her Bronze Medal. Jordan took over as head coach of the Mill Creek Equestrian Team in July of 2018 and has led the team to multiple Top Zone Finals placings and has sent 3 Riders to National Finals.
CECILIA ("CECI") RISLEY
Assistant Trainer & Beginner Instructor
Ceci began riding at Tu Fox Farm with Jordan in 2019. She rode on the Mill Creek Equestrian Team all 4 years of high school, moving up from Walk/Trot in her Freshman year to Varsity Intermediate 2' as a Senior and serving as the over fences point rider for her team through Zone Finals. Ceci showed TFF horses when able throughout high school. When the assistant trainer position opened up shortly after she graduated, Ceci jumped on the opportunity and has been an asset to both the lesson program and TFF horses overall due to her high standards in the barn and in the arena. In addition to her time in the saddle at TFF, Ceci is currently riding with Cindy Thaxton at High Point Farm with the hopes of pursuing her Bronze Medal and is bringing along TFF owned "Supernatural" in dressage and jumpers.
